After last week’s disappointing result, a home game against Maastricht was the perfect chance to bounce back—and we did just that.

We came out strong and took an early 1–0 lead thanks to a goal from Fre. It could easily have been more, with a disallowed goal and multiple penalty corners keeping the pressure on.

The second quarter, however, saw us lose slight concentration. A fortunate deflection from a Maastricht free hit found its way into our goal, making it 1–1. At halftime, the message was clear: keep the pace high and the goals would follow.

Backed by a supportive Gooische crowd, we regained the lead with a composed penalty stroke from Dirkje. The standout moment of the match came from Player of the Match Fre, who eliminated the Maastricht defence with a slick left-right drag before slamming the ball into the bottom right corner— a great goal!

A special thanks to our great supporter Emma, who stepped in to help the ‘ballenmeisjes’. It was also great to have the support from the maxi’s Milou van Dijck and Dide Verkleij from team Purple.

All in all a strong performance, and an important 3-1 win sets us up nicely for Myra next week. See you in Amstelveen on Sunday!
